Do You Really Know your Tire Company?

With all the buying and selling of tires companies lately it may be hard for a consumer to know who they are really dealing with. Many of yesterday's "American" companies are now foreign owned. Many of these foreign companies are from some of our old enemies, now friends of the USA. We'll let you decide.
Firestone Complete Auto Care is owned by Japanese conglomerate Bridgestone Corporation. Goodyear Auto Service Centers. 57.83 % or the top 10 stock holders of Goodyear Tire is owned by Wall Street institutions and hedge fund managers. The top 10 individual investors hold 0.44% or less than 1% of their stock. Tire Kingdom is owned by the Japanese company -
Sumitomo Corporation. Tires Plus is owned by the Japanese Corporation, Bridgestone Corporation. Tire Rack is owned by Leonard Green & Partners, a private equity firm headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Discount Tire has 725 stores in the USA. Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. They currently only own 14 stores in the Charlotte area. Sears once America's store in now owned by K-Mart and its top 25 stock holders own 92.16 % of the company which are all Wall Street financial institutions. Carolina Tire & Service Center is a family owned auto repair super center competing with these Corporate Giants in Charlotte, NC. Their aim is to make your life more comfortable and easier for you and your car or truck at the best price. Our long term goal is to invest in only the Charlotte area (NC & SC) by growing our stores and concept.
